Gregory Manchess is a Caldecott Medal and Hamilton King Award winning illustrator who created the House Skull paintings for The Locked Tomb Series by Tamsyn Muir. His Sixth House Skull painting is also used for cover art for The Mysterious Study of Doctor Sex short story.
Biography[]
A graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Manchess has worked as a freelance illustrator for over forty years. Aside from his illustrations, he has given lectures and master classes, illustrated stamps for the US Postal Service, participated in a National Geographic expedition, has his art featured in the Coen Brother's film The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, and published a widescreen novel, Above the Timberline.
